Kerakoll presents the first Group Impact Report

A further step in Kerakoll’s ESG journey, to which all the Group’s 11 countries have voluntarily adhered. Environmental and social impacts were measured according to the Benefit Impact Assessment (BIA).

Sassuolo, 19 December 2024 – Kerakoll, a certified B Corp Benefit Company and international leader in sustainable building, has presented its first Group Impact Report for the year 2023.

The Group Impact Report for the year 2023 responds to the purpose of sharing with all stakeholders the results achieved in terms of sustainability and the objectives for the following year, in line with the commitment made in October 2021 when Kerakoll became a Benefit Company and, subsequently, when it obtained B Corp certification in July 2023. In fact, all the companies in Kerakoll Group have voluntarily chosen to prepare an impact report describing the activities carried out and the future objectives for achieving the common benefit goals set out in the sustainability policy statement.

The content of the Report is divided into 9 goals of common benefit to the environment and people: greenbuilding, product rating, innovative processes, strategic partnerships, scientific research and education, safety, employee welfare, growth paths and civic engagement, which Kerakoll has included in its sustainability policy statement, for which the activities carried out in 2023 have been outlined and the goals for 2024 described.

To measure and improve its environmental and social impact, Kerakoll Group has used the Benefit Impact Assessment (BIA), one of the most authoritative and widely used international tools for measuring the sustainability performance of companies, detailed in the five main impact areas considered: governance, workers, community, environment, customers.

‘Kerakoll’s Group Impact Report 2023 is a document that showcases a milestone in our commitment on this long journey oriented towards a mission that is increasingly rooted in the Group: bringing together passionate thinkers and creators to build better places to live,’ said Fabio Sghedoni, Vice President of Kerakoll Group. ‘Moved by our vision of the future and this spirit of interdependence, in 2023 we reached a turning point: we became a B Corp, meaning we were recognised as an organisation that strategically integrates environmental and social impact into its business strategy. We have chosen to take a significant step that confirms our ongoing commitment to generate a positive impact on society and the environment through our business activities.

‘Being an inspiration to the entire supply chain, in an energy-intensive and complex sector like the building industry, is a challenge. Kerakoll is proving that, with dedication and transparency, it is possible to achieve concrete results and generate a positive impact on society and the environment,’ commented Eric Ezechieli, co-founder of NATIVA. ‘This achievement, which goes beyond national borders and which involved all people from the Group’s 11 countries, shows how a strategic approach can stimulate the ecosystem to evolve in the same direction’.
